How my garden grow's

Green house with tomatoes, basil, bell peppers and jalapenos

This picture is from August I believe. It is now Nov. 1 and I am still enjoying tomatoes, bell peppers, jalapenos and now cilantro and spinach. Really just enough to make salsa fresh each week. My family really loves salsa. We use it on everything!

I have been way to busy to keep up with this blog on a regular basis. I envy those that are able to do so. I love catching up with the news. So much has happened since my last entry I hardly know where to begin .
  • Mike is layed off from Wachovia, maybe out of banking forever with the way things have changed. Very happy flying as much as possible and getting our office completed
  • Katie went thru diving for the Tumwater High School Varsity Dive Team. Enjoyed that immensely.
  • Katie is now a cheerleader for Varsity Basketball which starts in 2 weeks.
  • Katie went to her first Homecoming Dance with a group of friends. The dressing up was the highlight I believe.
  • I have put my garden to bed except the greenhouse. I have canned tomatoes, dehydrated apples and jarred up applesauce. Still making salsa and enjoying cabbage and now the squashes. Didn't make nearly as much Zucchini bread as I would have liked.
  • I traveled on average 400 miles a week between work and escorting Katie to her events.
  • I have been taking lots of pictures and enjoying the outcome. I am really in to unusual subjects these days and have made several fun cards with the photos.
  • My office has moved into my bosses home which is still in the process of remodeling. Can't wait until that is done. I do get the pleasure of seeing his 3 adorable boys everyday, 10, 8 and 6. The youngest "Cutter" come in each morning and says "Good Morning Marewee". Oh so sweet.
  • I finally got my scrapbooking stuff out to get busy on...so much to catch up to .
  • I am saturated with the election to the point that I just want it over with and will deal with it, however it turns out. I have voted. I am done.
We have had several family members pass away in the last few months. It is a harsh reality to lose the people we have so many memories with. Life continues is circle.

Uncle Reuben
Aunt Lucille

I feel like here in the Northwest where we have very defined seasons, that the rythym of life is predictable. In the fall and winter I look forward to spring and summer and hope get's me through.

So...these are the rythyms of my life.

First, you should write a book, you are very eloquent and poetic with your words.
Second, I am very envious of you and your garden. I am trying really hard to find the beauty in cactus.
Third, I would love to see your pictures. Knowing you, they are wonderful.
Fourth, I love you so much and think of you often. Life can be very difficult at times and it helps me to know that you are there for me whenever I need it. I hope you feel you can call me whenever. I feel the same way about Fall and Winter.
